The drone world has been developing new projects during the last years, and one of them is this PowerUp FPV. This is a drone like a paper plane, its wings are made with paper for the sustenance, and then it has a propelling system made with carbon fiber and an aviation made by a company called Parrot.
The first prototype of this drone was launched in 2011, since this moment, the company tried to introduce some upgrades to the drone. For example, in 2013, they introduced a remote control system with an app in the smartphone and Bluetooth connectivity, and the company Kickstarter bought this project. The first thing that this brand did, was introduce a camera in the drone to film and take photos, making this PowerUp 3.0 as a commercial toy.
This drone has an autonomy of 10 minutes, and achieves 32 Km/h. And the most important thing is the first person view that this drone gives to the owner, FPV are the initials of “First Person View”. It can be use with a Virtual Reality glasses that gives the customer the feeling that he is flying inside of this drone, and allows to connect with the drone by WiFi with the MIMO technology.
The drone world is so new, so we can expect a lot of products that could surprise us a lot, because the technology companies are working in a new drones’ generation, and they will get very good results. They are investing a lot, for example, for this project the company has invested 2 million $, and they are working on the development of this drone and another new, so we will have new versions of this drone, and others that will come with a new design. But, for the moment, this PowerUp FPV can be bought paying 200$.
