South Korean artist RM recently shared insights into boyband BTS’s future, hinting at a reunion in 2025. This past weekend, on August 12, RM took to Weverse, a fan community platform, to discuss the boyband’s ongoing journey. It’s noteworthy that since the latter half of 2022, BTS has been on a hiatus to delve into individual projects.
During the livestream, RM relayed a conversation he had with Suga about his global tour and the insights he gained from it. As reported by SBS Star, RM said, “He told me that there were a great number of ARMY across the globe wanting the seven of us to reunite and perform again.”
While discussing the current undertakings of BTS members, RM noted, “all doing solo stuff right now”, acknowledging that some are also in the midst of their mandatory military service. “But as I’m working on my solo project, I keep thinking this way: ‘This is like a vacation’,” he said.
He further clarified, “What I mean by that is that it’s a kind of vacation that we, BTS and ARMY, need to take to successfully come back as a whole. So, I believe all our solo activities are important trips for our next chapter, and they’re also trips which we must go on in order to safely come back home.”
Cementing hopes of fans worldwide, RM confirmed the band’s intention to regroup, stating, “We’ll be joining together again. And that will be in 2025.”
