The film began shooting in January 2020 in London, but months later the pandemic forced the shooting to stop. But already in autumn 2020 they resumed shooting after having been stopped also because of Pattinson’s positive in Covid-19.
Directed by Matt Reeves, who also co-wrote the script with Peter Craig, this Batman movie promises to be dark, twisted and serious. But the two must work together to take on the sociopathic serial killer who calls himself Enigma (played by Paul Dano).
At 167 minutes long, that’s nearly three hours in length, this film has become the longest in the saga and one of the longest in the entire superhero genre
At the moment, the only place to see The Batman is in a movie theater but, after 45 days in theaters , it will be available on HBO Max. This means that on April 19th, as confirmed by Warner Media CEO Jason Kilar, the film will be available on this platform.
As for the numbers, the latest box office estimates stated that the new DC Comics movie would have a very successful and pleasing weekend, getting more than $100 million in the United States only. However, according to other media it is estimated that it will get much more money and will be confirmed as one of the best openings of a DCEU (DC Extended Universe) movie in many years.
With a 9.1/10 on IMDb and 86% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, The Batman is set to be one of the blockbusters of the year in Spain and around the world.
