The fifth installment of Scream was a total success, which is why the sixth part of the famous franchise will soon arrive on our screens, exactly on March 10 of this year. The film is directed by Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olphin. If we recall, Scream 4 was released in 2011, and after 11 years, the fifth installment premiered, and it seems we will not wait long for the sixth part. Ghostface returns and some familiar faces as well.
Ghostface will return to Woodsboro with Scream 6. Paramount and Spyglass have announced that the Scream reboot will be one of the best horror movies, plus the fifth part had positive results at the box office.
The film continues with the survivors of the latest Ghostface killings, sisters Samantha and Tara Carpenter and twins Chad and Mindy Meeks, leaving Woodsboro behind and starting a new chapter of their lives in New York City only to again be plagued by a streak of murders by a new Ghostface killer.
The cast is formed by Melissa Barrera as Sam Carpenter, Jenna Ortega as Tara Carpenter, Hayden Panettiere as Kirby Reed, Jasmin Savoy Brown as Mindy Meeks-Martin, Mason Gooding as Chad Meeks-Martin, and Dermot Mulroney as a police officer.
There is already a trailer for Scream VI that can be seen on youtube and on the official Twitter account of the saga, they have also published several photos of Ghostface.
Spoilers of Scream 5 below
The new group of teenagers that introduces the fifth installment of the saga has to return since the producers had the sequels planned and it is very clear who survives and who doesn’t. These surviving characters are Sam (Melissa Barrera), Tara (Jenna Ortega), Chad (Maon Gooding), and Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown). The other characters Amber, Richie, Wes, and Liv are dead, which means Mikey Madison, Jack Quaid, Dylan Minnette, and Sonia Ben Ammar will not come back for the sixth film.
