Real Madrid, as usual these last weeks, had another magical night. This time was on Sanchez Pizjuan against the second classified of Liga Santander, Sevilla of Julen Lopetegui. Madrid won a match with an incredible comeback during the second half and ended with a great goal of Karim Benzema (currently one of the best players in the world right now with Kylian Mbappe).
This match was really relevant for both teams. One the one hand, Sevilla wanted to win to achieve more advantage with Atletico and Barcelona. In addition, they did not play any European competition this week and they rested more days than Madrid. On the other hand, Real Madrid. The guys of Carlo Ancelotti came to win Chelsea with another beautiful comeback at Bernabeu. They played extra-time on that game and they had less rest than local team. Also, as is usual, Carlo does not make too many rotations. However, one more time, the Real Madrid DNA appeared again.
Sevilla started the game really well. In five minutes (from min 20´ to 25´) Julen Lopetegui´s team scored two goals (Rakitic and Lamela). Both goals came from some mistakes of Real Madrid defenders. Militao was the worst during the first half of the away team. Sevilla also had many chances, possession and practically the match control on these first 45´minutes.
The match would change on the second half completely. Real Madrid went out the break with other attitude. The guys of “Carletto” took the control of the game. This second half was probably one of the best of Real Madrid on this 2021-2022 season. Also, the entrance of players like Rodrygo (with a goal and the assist to Karim Benzema) and Nacho (with a goal too) changed the match. This fight spirit of Real Madrid on the last weeks it is kind of amazing. When all people think that they are dead, the leader of the league reaction to this situations and win the game in a epic way.
With is result the league for Real Madrid is practically done. They have an advantage of 15 points and they have to play just 6 matches more. Ancelotti´s team just needs 10 more points to be champion. The qualifying round against Chelsea did not affect and Madrid played a really good match. Also, Karim Benzema already sums 39 goals on 39 matches this season and he is one of the candidates for Golden Ball.
