Last November 21st took place the American Music Awards 2022, awards in which the American singer Taylor Swift has once again stood out.
The artist won a total of six awards throughout the night, highlighting her name in different categories given the versatility of her music, being named in the categories Artist of the Year, Best Video, Best Artist, Best Pop Album and Best Country Album. Thus, the artist has surpassed the singer-songwriter Beyoncé, who received three awards, Harry Styles, with two awards, or Nicki Minaj, among others.
But Taylor was not the only one to receive awards. Dove Cameron received the award for Best New Artist, and Manneskin for Best Rock Song.
However, Spain’s Rosalia has once again failed to reap anything: despite her nominations, Bad Bunny was undoubtedly one of the great leaders of the night, taking almost all the awards in the Latin section, with the exception of one of them won by Sebastian Yatra, with the award for Best Latin Song with his single “Dos Oruguitas”.
In addition, the night had several emotional moments, as the winners’ speeches touched everyone, although it was Pink who managed to touch the hearts of the audience when he paid tribute to the late Olivia Newton, after an intense fight against cancer.
However, it was not only moments of sadness that took place on the night, several musical performances managed to cheer up the audience, among them Imagine Dragons. However, it was Anitta who stood out with her performance.
Among the rest of the winners were Dua Lipa and Elton John with the Collaboration of the Year Award, Coldplay with the Best Concert Artist Award, BTS with the Best Pop Group and Best K-pop Artist Award, or Chris Brown, with the Best Male RnB Artist Award.
