Taylor Swift’s latest album, “Midnights”, has once again reached the top after achieving a new record.
The American artist, hand in hand with its release, has made the album become the first in several decades, specifically since the 80s, to sell more vinyl than CDs in just a few months, after climbing to the top of sales worldwide.
Swift has achieved this 2022 to become one of the most prominent artists in the music world after her various awards and records, among which we also see her record after selling more than one million units in a week with five different albums, being the first in history.
In this case, Swift released five different editions of the album with different colors. With this, The Guardian has reported that it has already reached the figure of 80,000 vinyl sales of the album, counting with the possibility of miscalculations since only a week of release sales were around 600,000.
With this, Taylor Swift goes down in history, following Michael Jackson with “Bad”, and Guns N’ Roses with “Appetite For Destruction”, being not only the best-selling vinyl in the UK, but the best-selling vinyl of the 21st century, and also the best-selling album of the year.
