Technics wants to remember the launch of their iconic Technics SL-1200 turntable in 1972, a turntable that became the perfect tool for disco DJs wanting to deliver funky beats. It was reincarnated some years ago with the SL-1200MK7, but the new SL-1200M7L comes with seven different colours: black, red, blue, white, green, yellow and beige.
It brings a golden anodised tonearm, and comes in a few limited edition with only 12,000 units that is going to be sold globally. It comes on a handsome slip mat, and is completed with a gold Technics logo and 50th anniversary icon.
It has a bright LED stylus illuminator thrown in for good measure, and it gets a high rigidity cabinet with a dampening insulator to minimise pesky vibrations, along with pitch control, reverse play, and a starting torque speed adjustment function.
It is going to be launched in July, but it can be pre order for now for £899.
