Miami Dolphins suffered an expensive loss on their visit to the Cincinnati Bengals (27-15) in which their quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, left with head and neck injuries after a hit by Bengals defensive lineman Josh Tupou. The medical services transferred Tagovailoa to the hospital as soon as they could lay him down on the stretcher
On the field, Joe Burrow led the victory of the Bengals, who now have two consecutive wins after starting with two losses, with 287 yards and 20 of 31 passes, with two touchdowns and no interceptions.
With Teddy Bridgewater at quarterback, the Dolphins managed to stay alive and a twelve-play action led to Chase Edmonds‘ touchdown nine seconds from halftime. It was 12-14, because Sanders did not get the additional point.
In the second half, the Bengals put one more gear and after some failed chances from Miami, they sentenced the game with an interception by Sam Hubbard.
The Dolphins’ next game will be on October 9 in New York against the Jets (1-2), while the Cincinatti Bengals will play the Baltimore Ravens (2-1) at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
