They are now husband and wife. Britney Spears and Sam Asghari will finally enjoy their married status. After getting engaged in September 2021, the couple celebrated their wedding at their Los Angeles mansion last Thursday. The celebration comes just weeks after the announcement that the star had suffered a miscarriage, so this ceremony has helped the couple to overcome this emotional bump. Two days later, some details of the wedding have been revealed, such as the decoration, the bride and groom’s clothes or the names of some of the guests
The couple happily married on Thursday, June 9, in a ceremony at their fabulous home in Thousand Oaks, Los Angeles. A wedding isn’t a wedding without a little drama, though. The wedding was interrupted by Jason Alexander, the singer’s first husband, who burst into the event shouting “Britney is my first and only wife!”. The police had to act, but not even that embarrassing moment managed to ruin the happiest day in the life of the singer and the model.
The couple got engaged last September, when Sam proposed with a classic ring designed with a four-carat round brilliant cut diamond in a platinum cathedral setting by Roman Malayev. On it, Britney’s now-husband had the word ‘Lioness’, as he nicknames Britney, engraved. Quite a token of love and affection.
To plan their wedding, the couple contacted Jeffrey Best, of Best Events, one of the most recognized wedding planners among American celebrities. “We really wanted to make this a beautiful little moment with our family, our closest friends,” says Britney.
Naturally, and in honor of one of the guests, Donatella Versace, both the bride and groom wore the couture brand’s gowns. Britney wore an elegant off-the-shoulder gown with a slit on one side that revealed her legs and a classic white veil with satin edges. Sam complemented his bride-to-be’s look with a tailored tuxedo in black.
Charlotte and Sofia Tilbury, creators of the dress, revealed to the aforementioned magazine how happy they were to know they would be contributing to ‘the princess of pop’s’ big day. “I was so honored to be asked to create Britney’s beauty look. Britney is an icon of our time who has inspired and empowered us all with her joy and positive energy,” said Charlotte.
Britney’s jewelry was no less than 62 carats and was designed by one of the most renowned celebrity jewelers, Stephanie Gottlieb. Her look included round diamond and pear earrings, a heart-shaped diamond necklace in white gold and an oval diamond tennis bracelet. The couple also entrusted Stephanie with the creation of their wedding bands.
