The time is the only one that has the reason. However, we can analyse the potential winners and losers of this new edition of NFL Draft.
Baltimore Ravens: none has choose better on the draft, in the last decade, and this year was no exception. Their first four picks should have an immediate impact. For lot of people, Kyle Hamilton was the best player of draft, although the actions of the ex-player of Notre Dame, fell because his position is not very demand nowadays. However, Hamilton has a great combination of size and athleticism. Then came the selection of Tyler Linderbaum. He is by far the best center of the Draft this year. He usually comes very fast to the second level. Also, despite of his low stature, he has a great balance due to his past practising Greco-Roman wrestling.
They also took David Ojabo (who broke his Achilles tendon at Pro Day). Ojaboo is probably the best field marshal on the draft. He is still learning this sport and he had not been injured, would be one of the first picks of the draft. And when we think that the things could not be better for Ravens, they picked Travis Jones (who was chosen much lower of what journalists predicted). The offensive tackle Daniel Faalele has a massive size and fills a position of need. With these players and the future that they could have, Ravens has probably completed one of the best Draft picks of their history.
On the other hand, one of the losers of this draft is New England Patriots. Bill Belichick is one of the best coaches on the history, but as general manager, never has been one of the greatest. The draft is one of his pending accounts. There are no doubts that Patriots needed of a inner guy, after losing Joe Thuney the last year and Ted Karras on this season. However, they could get Cole Strange. He is excellent blocking the land attack and he will be on the team from the first day. The pick of open catcher, Tyquan Thornton, is not bad at all. The problem is that the team paid more than necessary. Undoubtedly, Thornton is very fast and a great player when he has to accumulate yards after the reception.
This little resume of these two teams are obviously relative. One player could be rated as the worst in the league and two or three months later he could be one of the best in the world. When we season starts, we will see if teams did this 2022 Draft correctly or not.
