The Chinese young designer, Yuhang Zhang, has designed the Volkswagen Aqua, a futuristic hovercraft. This vehicle has been designed to adapt to the big variety of fields that China has: lakes, rivers, coastal water, roads, wetlands, snow and ice. So this young designer propose this vehicle to move over all this lands easily.
In the design, Zhang puts more than one engine, as is usual in the hovercrafts. The principal engine is supplied by a hydrogen fuel battery, that is used to activate the main ceiling fan that inflate the rubber mudflap that covers all the vehicle. The Aqua glides over the floor and can elevate. The back part ceiling fans are propelled by individual electric engines that supply the necessary force to go and to control the vehicle. The design of this two ceiling fans are like wheels.
The Volkswagen Aqua design is clean and minimalist, with ordered lines in all the vehicles, except the four ceiling fans of the back part. This vehicle is designed for two occupants, and it is controlled by a telescopic steering wheel with a flexible column. The tool’s screen is completely digital. At the moment, the problem is how to enter and exit from the vehicle, the design tells that is has to be made with a little circular hatchway in the back part of the vehicle.
That is all the information that has been revealed about the Volkswagen Aqua hovercraft at the moment. This is a project that takes a lot of time to be prepared for the launch, but the idea is very good for a lot of countries that have a lot of types of fields, and buy a vehicle like that could make that a person could go over all the lands in their trip, so we will see how this project is developed.
