Wednesday has been in the top 10 o all 93 countries where Netflix is available, out of these 93 countries, Wednesday sits at number one in 83 of them. The series surpassed the 335 million hours viewed by fans of Stranger Things. The series has caused furor worldwide and has been watched by around 50 million households all around the world. Although Wednesday surpassed Stranger Things, it still cannot beat Squid Game which continues to be the winner of this title with a total of 571.8 million hours viewed.
After Wednesday, ‘1899’ is in second place with a total of 87.9 million hours viewed, The Crown season five is in third place with 42.36 million hours viewed, and lastly Dead to Me with 33.3 million hours viewed.
Why is Wednesday so popular?
Wednesday Addams is part of the Addams Family, the TV Show created in 1964, based on the cartoon The Addams Family created by Charles Addams in the 30s. The original Netflix series is based on Wednesday who is expelled from her school after dumping live piranhas into her school’s pool for the boys’ water polo team bullying her brother Pugsley. After this, her parents Gomez and Morticia Addams enroll her at their high school alma mater, an academy located in the town of Jericho, Vermont.
Wednesday is a character with a cold, emotionless personality, and she finds it difficult to connect with her schoolmates. She later discovers she has psychic abilities, inherited from her mother, and this allows her to solve a local murder mystery. The series has a total of eight episodes each one of them around an hour long.

Metacritic gave it a 66% score out of 100%, with a total of 26 critics, indicating favorable reviews, and IMDb gave it an 8.4 out of 10, also indicating positive reviews.
Will there be a second season for the series?
Netflix has not confirmed anything yet, but the ending of the first season left spectators craving for more. The audience can not imagine not having a second series for Wednesday, the TV show turned out to be a huge success for the American streaming platform, and this indicates Wednesday may have another season.
