With a little more of a month of current competition, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees and New York Mets continue dominating after a month of MLB. However, on the last weeks have surged some new faces.
Los Angeles Angels, with a really good moment of shape, has won six of the last seven games that they played, winning their opponents 52-19.
Los Angeles Dodgers is also playing really good. The team has dominated a lot without a big effort. Now, with a hot weather and and offensive recovering, is possible that are getting there. Max Muncy, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman were doing a good performance. However, Dodgers had a little mishap, an injury on the shoulder of Blake Treinen. The injury probably will lengthen until the “All Stars” game.
New York Yankees is other team that is doing the things good. They are continuing playing good on the first part of the season. The offensive performance of some players of the team are amazing. Also, the resurgence of Nestor Cortes, who is the best pitcher of the team on six apertures this season, leading the position group with WAR of 1,2. He has also an effectiveness of 1,41 and a WHIP of 0,97. Between Michael King, Clay Holmes and Aroldis Chapman, the relay team have been between the best of baseball.
New York Mets achieved one of the best comebacks of all of times the last Thursday against the Phillies, losing 7-1 on the top place of the ninth before that recuperate to scored seven consecutive races and got the victory by 8-7. The teams of MLB had lost 857 consecutive games when they were losing of 6 or more races on the ninth entry and was the first time that Mets comeback to win. They have not done this since the September 13th of 1997 against Expos. The defeat of Max Scherzer against Phillies on the Mother´s Day broke a streak of 24 openings on the regular season without a defeat. Had a mark of 15-0 with an effectiveness of 2,55 on that stretch.
Despite of some players have a really good start on the offensive apart, a big topic with a lot of controversy currently is the poor offensive production of the Mayor Leagues. The league is averaging one of the worst numbers with the baseball bat in years.
