One of the big surprises at WWE’s latest pay-per-view, Royal Rumble, was Bobby Lashley’s victory over Brock Lesnar.
However, this was not done in a “clean” way, but rather the opposite. When everything seemed at first that Roman Reigns would lose his championship as his was the first fight of the night to later win the Royal Rumble and face Lesnar at Wrestlemania, everything changed from one moment to another. Roman’s disqualification defeat did not give Rollins the title and there was already the other great battle of the night without counting the real ones that faced Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley for the WWE world title.
In this match, the appearance of Roman Reings with an arrow in Lesnar tipped the balance in favor of a Lashley who was once again WWE champion. However, he will defend this title within the PPV Elimination Chamber against 5 other WWE superstars, including Brock Lesnar himself or AJ Styles.
It seems complicated for Lesnar to win the championship again in this fight since at the moment the possibility of facing the champion vs. champion in WM is ruled out since Lesnar has already declared that he will fight in the biggest event of the year against Reigns. In this way, between the victory of Lashley, AJ or Seth Rollins the thing should be. The victory of the latter also seems complicated since he has recently had a title match and despite his great work he has a status where he does not need the title to be one of the faces of the company. AJ has been less important in RAW.
He has the ability in addition to a lot of experience and of course he would be a great champion but it gives the feeling that it is not the time. For this reason my bet for Elimination Chamber continues to be that Lashley retains his title.
