This is the 38th edition of the Video Music Awards, which is dedicated to highlighting the best music videos of the year. The date to watch the MTV Awards is next Sunday, August 28th, when several celebrities and artists will gather at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey and at 20:00 pm the ceremony will start on MTV’s own channel, although it can also be seen through Pluto TV, also looking for MTV’s channel.



At the MTV VMAs 2022 we will see three stars who will be in charge of introducing the ceremony and the big moments during the event. The celebrities are: Nicki Minaj, Jack Harlow and LL Cool J. It should be noted that this year Nicki Minaj will receive the Video Vanguard award.
It is also worth mentioning the presence of a certain South Korean female group who have been making a big splash since their return. Indeed, Blackpink will perform their single Pink Venom live for the first time. Yes, the video that reached over 90 million views in the first 24 hours. It is also worth mentioning that although they are known worldwide, this is the first time they will be performing at an awards show in the United States.






Continuing with the most anticipated performances, Italian glam-rock band Måneskin will take the MTV VMAs 2022 stage to perform their hit Supermodel. Lizzo will also return to the stage to sing her song 2 Be Loved from her celebrated album Special. Also confirmed is Anitta who will enchant with her song Envolver, J Balvin who returns with his new song Nivel de Perreo, Marshmello and Khalid will take the stage to perform their hit song Numb and Panic! at the Disco returns to the VMAs after four years with their new single Middle of a Breakup.










And of course, we can’t leave out the nominees and the ones that stand out the most in the traditional categories are Kendrick Lamar, Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow, as all three have seven nominations. Although it should be noted that Nas and Harlow share many nominations thanks to their collaboration on Industry Baby including Video of the Year and Best Collaboration. Not so far behind is Doja Cat and Harry Styles with six; Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and The Weekend with five nominations each.
