Since the appearance of the Disney+ platform, children and adults have been able to enjoy all kinds of series and movies that have not only been limited to the Disney universe (already quite large in itself) but have also included productions belonging to Marvel, Pixar and yes, Star Wars too.
The success of the platform is undeniable, and it continually continues to add titles to its grid and launch a large number of projects. This is the case of Young Jedi Adventures, an animated series aimed at children’s audiences that will premiere next spring 2023. In addition, a first logo of the series and an official description can be seen in the Twitter announcement.
The story will be set during the era of the High Republic, in which the protagonists are young initiates who study the ways of the Force to become Jedi. This period in the history of the Star Wars universe is the beginning of the Imperial era, in which the main trilogy of the saga takes place, however, the events of The Phantom Menace would not occur until a century later.
The Star Wars universe keeps growing and getting bigger and bigger. On this occasion, they try to approach the younger audience with this animated series, and for some time now they have been varying the types of productions so that the most famous saga in history is accessible to all audiences. Some of the latest productions of the franchise have been series such as Obi-Wan Kenobi or Ashoka, series more focused on an adult audience, while Star Wars: The Clone Wars is aimed at a teenage audience. This is why Young Jedi Adventures is another opportunity for the little ones at home to get closer to the Star Wars universe, because let’s remember that they already bet on an animated series, Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures.
More details about the series and how it will be approached are not yet known, but as usual in all Star Wars productions, Young Jedi Adventures will surely have a narrative correlation with the rest of the stories of the saga.
