With a winter storm as its show staging, the brand spread concern about Ukrainian refugees.
The last Balenciaga winter 2022 fashion show has become a topic to talk about not only in the networks but also outside them. And is that the house has left us all perplexed with a staging that could not go unnoticed even if you wanted to. Yes, we are talking about the show in which the models seemed to walk in the middle of a winter storm.
The reputed brand sentenced the Paris fashion week with a resounding message in support of Ukraine (recently invaded by the Russian army). Demma Gvasalia, creative director of the brand, wanted to visualize the journey that today more than a million Ukrainians had been forced to make, ando so He built a circular catwalk, 360º, simulating a snowy desert where guests watched the models fight against the wind and cold through a glass window; just like us, those affected by the war through the TV. The Georgian-born designer showed a side we didn’t know about him, confessing to having also been a refugee from his country.
One thing was very clear to us: Balenciaga has added one more milestone to the long list of epic moments in the fashion world.
