Since 2009 Beyoncé has been one of the most anticipated artists at the Oscars Awards. This time the first time nominee skipped the red carpet to be the center of attention inside the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The singer wore a stunning and glamorous yellow dress that she shared after the event via Instagram.
The singer was nominated for the Best Original Song category thanks to her track from “Be Alive“, the soundtrack to the movie King Richard. Beyoncé performed a powerful rendition of this song from a tennis court in Compton and chose David Koma for her production. Despite her best efforts the statuette ultimately went to Billie Eilish and Finneas for their James Bond theme, “No Time to Die“.
For this performance, Beyoncé chose a floor-length gown with a plunging neckline in a yellow hue reminiscent of a daffodil. It also included a taffeta cape with bare shoulders and matching gloves. To accessorize, the artist opted for 150-carat cascading earrings and a 35-carat oval diamond ring for her pinky finger by Lorraine Schwartz
Beyoncé also made a nod to Reinaldo Marcus Green’s King Richard and his film about tennis champions Venus and Serena thanks to a tennis ball-shaped bag. All yellow. Even the platform heels she matched with the Valentino dress were the same color.
The international artist is a music and fashion icon. Since some time ago, Beyoncé seems to be back on stage more than ever. And at this Oscar 2022 gala she made it clear that yellow is the color of a new beginning.
